Best shower EVER!

Seriously, words can't explain the lovliness that went on yesterday at the home of my Maid of Honor! I don't have many pictures as, of course, I was busy saying hello and talking to everyone who came to celebrate with me! But...I will refer you HERE where the ever popular Kelly J has her own post to document the event!

The first "real" celebration!

Yesterday was the first of my showers and I am left to clean up the remnants of my gifts this morning!

This shower was thrown by my Future Mother-in-Law and her friends. There were about 30 people there when all was said and done! The ladies held the shower in the beautiful yard at one of their houses. They had lots of yummy little desserts for everyone to nibble on as well. We played a game that was sort of like Family Fued with bridal questions and we also played a game of bridal shower word scramble. All in all, it was a perfect day and everyone had a good time. Many of the guests were people I had not met before so it was nice to get to know more people on my ever-growing guest list.

My first shower is in 2 weeks and there are 4 ladies helping to plan and throw this shower. They are all friends of Mr. G's mom and have known Mr. G since he was a little boy. I feel so lucky to have these women putting their time and energy into throwing a shower for me! So in an effort to show my gratitude, I put together a little gift for each of them. I bought them each a hand soap and lotion set from Bath and Body Works to put in their bathrooms on on their kitchen sink. I even found tissue paper to match my wedding colors! :)

In other news...this means people have begun to buy gifts off our registry! Sooo exciting! (Not that I check like every day...)

More dresses...

So a few weeks ago I decided to start the search for my rehearsal and shower dresses. I set out with high hopes and was quickly disappointed by the selection of what I found. First of all...NOTHING fit me correctly and there just wasn't anything that I had to have! Ughh...so frustrating!

This past Saturday I decided to venture out again and try another mall with a different Nordstrom's. SUCCESS! I found not one, but two dresses! Whoo hoo! Take a look!
